Aurora Chasing by Car

Join us in one of our aurora chasing tours! We start the tour by picking you up from your hotel in Abisko and heading out to the place with the highest chance to see the northern lights that night. Sometimes that is a short drive from the village and other times it’s an hour drive. We drive high ends vans with seats for only 8 people to ensure a comfortable experience.

We use satellite images, weather radar, webcams and our network of aurora chasers to give you the highest possible chance of seeing the auroras.

We can drive up to 100 km to give you the best chance to experience this astonishing natural phenomenon. Once we find clear sky we will stop in the most scenic location in the area to enjoy the show. We might go to one or many locations depending on what the situation looks like.

Our vans are all equipped with diesel heaters that can run without turning on the engine and the headlights on the cars to produce minimum light pollution.

All our guides are experienced photographers that can help you to take pictures of the auroras with either your phones or if you have a system camera. You can also rent a system camera for the duration of the tour.

To help keep everyone warm we will bring some warm drinks and a light snack.
