Panoramic tour in Norwegian Fjords
Explore the norwegian fjords and get amazed with the views.
The spectacular scenery that greets us as we head into Norway makes this tour something truly special. Mountains stand majestically up all around the fjords and lakes and the sea never fully freezes. We may even see eagles, orcas and dolphins, though we can’t guarantee it!
This tour offers a full range of photo adventures. We set off from Abisko and head west alongside the magical Lake Torenträsk in our minibuses, crossing the border into Norway at Riksgränsen.
During the trip we stop at some of the beautiful and historically significant places along the way and the guide will tell you about the area and history. The landscape changes dramatically as we had towards the fjords. Once we get to the village of Bjerkvik, we stop somewhere for you to buy lunch.
From Bjerkvik, we head north to Grovfjord, a village beside the Grov fjord where the fjord is at its narrowest. The Moelva and Gårdselva rivers flow down into the fjord at this point.
Once we have taking our fill of wonderful photographs, we set off to the east to see and stop at the 23-km (14 mile) long Gratangen fjord. There are battlegrounds from WW2 along the whole route and here on Wikipedia you can read about the Battle of Gratangen.
Each fjord is equally but differently beautiful.
Please note, that this is one of the few possible routes we can take. There is many more destinations we can choose based on weather conditions, etc.
